Service Terms

Clear expectations for both homeowner and contractor.

1. Agreement to Terms

By hiring NE Handyman LLC, requesting estimates, or using this website, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

2. Estimates & Quotes

Estimates are based on visible conditions at the time of inspection. Hidden damage, structural issues, or unforeseen conditions may alter pricing.

Additional work requires client approval before proceeding.

3. Deposits & Payments

We may require:

  • Deposits to secure scheduling
  • Material deposits before purchase
  • Progress payments for multi-day jobs

Accepted payment methods may include:

  • Cash
  • Checks
  • Electronic payments
  • Invoiced payments

Returned checks may incur additional fees.

4. Scheduling

Scheduling is first-come, first-served. Weather, material delays, and prior project overruns may affect timing.

We communicate scheduling changes whenever possible.

5. Access to Property

Clients agree to provide safe and reasonable access, including:

  • Clear work areas
  • Secured pets
  • Accessible utilities if required

6. On-Site Work Conditions

We reserve the right to stop work if conditions are unsafe, including structural hazards, electrical risks, unsanitary environments, or aggressive animals.

7. Licensing Disclosure

NE Handyman LLC is registered and insured.

Pennsylvania does not require a handyman license for the services offered by this business.

If a project requires licensed trade work (electrical, plumbing, etc.), referral to a licensed contractor may be recommended.

8. Scope Limitations

We specialize in:

  • Small repairs
  • Installations
  • Punch lists
  • Finish work
  • Small upgrades

Large remodels or full renovations may be declined or subcontracted.

9. Client-Supplied Materials

If clients provide materials, we are not responsible for manufacturer defects, incorrect sizing, or missing components. Additional labor may apply.

10. Workmanship

We strive to deliver professional results. Clients must report concerns within a reasonable timeframe after job completion so they can be addressed.

11. Cancellations

Deposits may be non-refundable once materials are purchased or scheduling time has been reserved. Advance notice is appreciated for rescheduling.

12. Contractor Right to Refuse or Cancel Work

NE Handyman LLC reserves the right to refuse, decline, or cancel any project prior to the scheduled start date at our sole discretion.

If work is declined or canceled by NE Handyman LLC before the project begins, any deposits collected will be returned in full, provided no materials have been purchased or special-order items secured on behalf of the client.

If materials have already been purchased or costs incurred, the deposit may be applied to those expenses, with any remaining balance returned to the client.

This policy protects both the homeowner and contractor in situations involving safety concerns, scope changes, scheduling conflicts, or project feasibility.

13. Property Damage

We take care to protect property. However, we are not responsible for:

  • Pre-existing damage
  • Hidden structural issues
  • Material failure beyond our control

14. Website Use

All website content, images, and branding belong to NE Handyman LLC and may not be copied or reused without permission.
